BAKIT TAYO NANGHUHUSGA?
Bakit tayo nanghuhusga?, Bakit nga ba tayo nanghuhusga?

WOULD YOU RIDE WITH ME?
Would you ride with me?
"I dont know where this path would lead me but would you ride with me?"
I can relate to this quote because in life people come and go and with those people others may be at your success and others at your failures and thats how i can say that others may be at my side at any path that i go through but that also depends.
For me the quote has a big impact to all people because the meaning of this quote is really deep, if there is anyone willing to come and stay with us even though we don't know what path we are taking. Just like my best friends they were the persons that always stayed at my side at all times through failures and success, but this also depends on the person because sometimes we expect to much but results the unexpected.
The meaning of this quote is to question if there is anyone willing to be with you at all times through ups and downs, but don't expect too much because as we know we can't force anyone and this is going to happen only by the willingless of a person, and many would reflect to this quote because it has a lot of meanings to us.
I have learned a lot from this quote, especially in the topic of friendship. Not only friendship but also as a person because we all need a person at our side to be with us to go with our journey but having that person may take the long way because it is not simple to find someone that would stay with you through your uos and downs thats why we should not expect a person to stay because its by theyre will to stay or not and i believe that there is a perfect person that will ride with us through all the paths.

Iliad and Odyssey
This was a poem created by Homer, at this poem we could see the war of the Trojans and the Greeks
at this poem there so many major events that happened, the war started when Agamemnon refused to return the daughter of Apollo. so that is where the war started
after many years the Trojans thought they won so they opened the gate and get the statue of a horse to present as they're bounty, but as the night came and all the Trojan feel asleep, the Greeks came out of the horse statue they opened the gate and burned the silent city.
We should always be careful on who we take advantage or on who we fight because we all have our own strategy and we are always not sure if we are really victorious at the end, things always happen in ways that we don't expect to happen so that is why we should always be careful.
The Theogony of Hesiod; Power and inhumane act
To think that a father could do this to it's own child, its very hard to understand and at this story we would learn that even through your own blood or relative they could still do harm and terrorize you just to get something they want or for a bounty.
These kind of acts are hard to understand and to believe but up until now there are still places or countries that do this, they call it cannibalism. this is hard to understand on how they are comfortable to do it, but to think it is an act of terror. We should always be careful because we are not accurate on what a person is thinking. We only have ourselves at the last part.
The Judgement of Paris
The Judgment of Paris was contest between the three most beautiful goddesses of Olympus, Athena, Aphrodite and Hera. The chosen would receive a golden apple addressed "to the fairest". The three of them also offered Paris something in return to be chosen,
Athena offered "military might" mean while Hera offered "kingly power"
Paris handed the Golden apple to Aphrodite because she promised him, in exchange, the love of most beautiful women in the world.
In this generation, this kind of doing are still done in many kinds of ways we tend to offer something to get what we want in return and sometimes this could lead to war because of misunderstanding to others. We should also be careful of bribes so that you would not end up suffering.
Adam and Eve; The Temptation
"THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT"
At the begging, God created a man named Adam. But Adam felt lonely even if he was free and was given everything. So God made Eve to be his partner.A snake tempted Eve to eat the fruit on the tree. Even when they were told that they should not go near in the "Tree of knowledge". But they still took the fruit out of they're curiousness and the next thing was that they were shined by the bright light and was told that they should suffer fro they have not obeyed the rule,
"the sign of a shame"
Our actions depends on the Decision we make so that is why we should always think before we act because we don't know what consequence are waiting for us and we know that temptations are always there.

TROJAN WAR
For me i learned that through war there is no winner, a war is a battle between to side fighting for one goal and for me a war doesn't mean that there is a winner because through the process there will always be a loss in each sides.
The Trojan war, Due to a great lack of evidence even to prove that Hisarlik is the real Troy, the question of whether or not the Trojan War really took place remains unanswered. However, given that The Iliad is a work of fiction that was passed down orally for centuries before it was written down, archaeologists are hesitant to conclude that such an event took place. However, most agree that there is a high degree of likelihood that The Iliad and The Odyssey were at the very least inspired by a large scale military excursion that occurred some time in the late Bronze Age.
The study of the Trojan war helped me and gave me a lesson that we should be careful on who we betray because it can be the reason to a war that we don't want to happen.
So i conclude that if the Trojan war did really happen or not, It was a great story that may have given a lot of people lessons to life and that it was a work of an masterpiece.

DESIDERATA
My happiness for me is my family and friends because for me they are the one that makes me strong and they are the one who made me as who i am today, i'm thankful for them because they are always there for me when Im sad and when i'm happy and that's why they are my happiness.
"enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. keep interested in your own career however be humble;
this is the lesson that we all need to learn because now in this generation many are always boasting about they're success but they forget about where they came from and that's the worst thing. for me i just want that all of us should be humble and let the success speak for itself because nothing would stay forever. that's why we should be humble.
Yes this poem help me resolve my personal conflicts because i learned in this poem on how to be a person and how to treat ourselves right and just, this poem can resolve conflicts if you understand and use it and thats what i did.
I conclude that this poem could help a lot of people to understand how our life would go on and so that we could know our limits and so that we could discipline ourselves, thats all thank you.

Ecuador's Earthquake Preparedness Plan
Ecuador is a country located in the northwest part of South America and is one of the earthquake-prone countries in the world. The country sits on the edge of the South American Plate, beside with the Nazca Plate, which results in strong earthquakes in the country. Both plates converge with each other, resulting to the subduction of the Nazca Plate with the South American Plate. Ecuador’s infrastructures are usually built on soft soil, specifically alluvium.Alluvium soils are loose and incompact accumulation of sands, silts, clays, or gravels deposited in rivers. Many cities in Ecuador are built on soft soils because these are flat and easy to build. The country also suffers from soil liquefaction, where the soil turns into liquid in response to an earthquake’s sudden movement. With the type of soil Ecuador is built on, it would experience stronger shaking and more damage. The materials used in Ecuador’s infrastructures also have been of poor quality. They are built with unstable materials such as masonry infill walls and flexible reinforced concrete. With more and more people living in slums, it could be a higher risk since people do not have enough money to afford durable and long-lasting materials for their houses. But after the 7.8 Earthquake in Ecuador in 2016, people were appreciating bamboo as it was able to withstand earthquakes and they have realized it after they have seen houses built on bamboo unaffected in the earthquake. They would put a concrete foundation and put the bamboo as its pillars. They also have mixed modern construction materials to assure its durability. Ecuador also established the Earthquake Safety Advisory Board, which is used to monitor and update earthquake risks in the country. The Quito School Earthquake Safety Project was also created to evaluate the building of the schools if it is safe or not. This effects to the improvement of the building so that there will be lesser risk and they would be able to impose safety school measures. In earthquake preparedness, improvement must be made. Some provinces in Ecuador are accustomed to small tremors and the people were not prepared on what to do during an earthquake. Due to these, when powerful earthquakes would strike, this would send people in immediate panic, for they did not know how to deal with it. With weak construction and no awareness, it will produce vast amounts of damage in infrastructures and casualties. In a 2010 poll by El Universo newspaper, 85% of respondents in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil, Ecuador’s main cities stated they were uninformed about instructions on what to do during emergencies, and 40% were completely unaware of what to do during earthquakes. Ecuador’s Red Cross also had helped raise awareness about these, but it was not enough because they do not have enough capacity to train people.

A building toppled down after the 2016 Ecuador earthquake |
With this information, Ecuador is alarmingly unprepared for another massive earthquake –from the building structure to the awareness of the citizens. They often do drills every year, but it failed to be maintained properly. As stated, the buildings are mostly made of unsafe materials that can be destroyed quickly. But after the 2016 earthquake, it has been an eye-opener to the citizens and government of Ecuador. Even though with these problems yet to be fixed, the citizens of Ecuador have also used their innovativeness to use bamboo as the foundation of their buildings and it is fascinating that albeit the impacts and effects of the 2016 earthquake, their resourcefulness was greatly used so that certain effects and destruction would not happen again.
In comparison, the Philippines established the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council to ensure the protection of the people during an earthquake or calamity. They are also responsible for holding earthquake drills regularly in schools and buildings four times per year to boost preparedness in people. The government also implemented strong building codes that fit the standard to withstand an 8.4 earthquake. In Ecuador, they have the National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR) to also ensure and monitor the citizen's safety. They also have emergency services to respond like the Ecuadorian Red Cross and ECU 911. They also do often hold earthquake drills. The raising of awareness in the country is poorly implemented, therefore making the citizens unprepared during an earthquake. But, they have emergency services to respond immediately to the victims to rescue quickly. As stated earlier, they have established the Earthquake Safety Advisory Board to ensure the safety of the people and buildings. During 2016, Ecuador also has included bamboo on its National Construction Code, making it the standard when people need to construct buildings.
To conclude, Ecuador is somehow unprepared to these calamities due to unawareness of what to do during earthquakes. The Ecuadorian government should have clearer plans to raise awareness properly so that people would not panic. Ecuador is susceptible to earthquakes and it would need more preparation for the people and proper check-up of the buildings. These major earthquakes are signs that the government and the people should work together so that they can be able to reduce casualties. Earthquake preparedness is necessary because if people do not know any of these, it will be a great risk. If Ecuador would improve in terms of earthquake preparedness and building stability, then it would be a great benefit when another massive earthquake would strike anytime soon.
